Bio-VOC breath sampler – HiSorb sorptive extraction – VOC-Mole soil probe

Description

ACTI-VOC low-flow sampling pump

The pocket-sized sampling pump for thermal desorption
ACTI-VOC™ is a robust low-flow pump for sampling vapour-phase organic compounds (VOCs) onto sorbent tubes for subsequent analysis by thermal desorption (TD).
Being lightweight, easy-to-use and intrinsically safe, ACTI-VOC is ideal for personal monitoring and a wide range of other air and gas sampling applications.
Optimised for thermal desorption tubes
Unlike other personal monitoring pumps on the market, ACTI-VOC is optimised for sampling onto thermal desorption tubes, and automatically compensates for different impedances, ensuring constant flow rates whatever the sorbent packing.

Easy-VOC grab-sampler

Simple sampling for VOCs in air
Markes International’s manually-operated Easy-VOC allows simple and rapid ‘grab-sampling’ of precise volumes of air/gas directly onto sorbent tubes, with no requirement for batteries or electrical power.
With typical sampling volumes of 50–500 mL, the risk of analyte breakthrough is minimal. Key applications include industrial or workplace air monitoring.
Sorbent tubes attach to the end of the Easy-VOC and air/gas is drawn directly onto the tube. Easy-VOC regulates the flow rate independent of the force used to pull the air through.

Bio-VOC breath sampler

Non-invasive tube-based biological monitoring
Based on pioneering work carried out at the UK Health & Safety Laboratory, Markes’ Bio-VOC™ breath sampler is a simple-to-use device designed for non-invasive biological exposure monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Constructed of safe, non-emitting plastic, the Bio-VOC can be operated with minimal training and without medically qualified staff in attendance.
Each Bio-VOC is supplied with a disposable cardboard mouthpiece (additional packs of mouthpieces are available). The sampler collects a representative sample of end-tidal air, without contamination or dilution with breath from the bronchial tubes or mouth.
Once the breath has been collected, a screw-in plunger is used to steadily discharge the sample into a sorbent tube (or a direct read-out instrument).

HiSorb sorptive extraction

HiSorb™ is an innovative, labour-saving sampling system for the analysis of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs) in liquids and solids by TD–GC–MS.
Extending the capability of thermal desorption (TD), HiSorb probes and accessories are ideal for trace-level component characterisation, aroma profiling, quality control and advanced research across a wide range of applications.

VOC-Mole soil probe

Robust and easy-to-use soil gas sampler
The VOC-Mole is a stainless steel assembly that is inserted into the ground, allowing soil gas to be sampled onto a sorbent tube, for analysis by thermal desorption (TD)–GC.
The VOC-Mole is simple to use and easy to transport, and perfect for any analyst wishing to monitor levels of volatile organic compounds in soil.
Product highlights
Organic pollutants pass through holes in the hollow tube and are collected on a sorbent tube.
Probe can be left in the ground for long periods.
Compatible with diffusive and pumped sampling.
Use of multiple VOC-Moles in a grid arrangement allows the creation of VOC maps.
Special cap prevents ingress of water, wildlife and soil debris.
Various pack sizes and probe lengths available.
