SRA PGC 3000: Explosion Proof Solution for on-line analysis

SRA Micro PGC3000 System is a compact and extremely reliable analyzer, certified according to the ATEX directive 94/9/EC and classification LCIE Ex II 2G + Exd IIC T6, regarding the use of equipment and protective systems in potentially explosive atmosphere.

The Micro PGC3000 system consists of 3 modules:

• The sampling unit: it aspirates, filters and transfers the sample without changing its composition to the gas chromatograph. One or more flow selectors can be added to the basic system in order to perform multi-channel sequences (ATEX stream selectors). 
• The analysis unit employs μGC technology. Inside the analysis box it is possible to install up to 3 modules, each including the injector (flush back function optional), the analytical column and the reference column, the heating device and the μTCD detector
  
• Control unit: It consists of an industrial personal computer which can be placed in a safe area.

The control unit manages the instrumental parameters of all system modules: the selection of the line to be sampled, the analytical modules, the signals and the alarms. All data are transferred in analogical (4-20 mA) or digital (Modbus) format and saved on hard disk.

The Micro PGC3000 system allows ten-twenty times faster analyses compared to a traditional GC system. Analyses which usually run in an 45 minute average can be accomplished in less than 120 seconds.

The SRA Soprane software allows to use all the analytical system potentialities by integrating an  advanced data management system which can face different application requirements.
